Theme Group Youth

Theme Group Youth gathers and disseminates knowledge and experiences from labour market projects (ESF projects) directed at young people that were granted during the period 2007 to 2013 using funds from the European Social Fund.

Theme Group Youth comprises a cooperation project between the Swedish Public Employment Service, the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society, Communicare (NGO), the Swedish Social Insurance Agency, the National Agency for Education, the National Board of Health and Welfare and the Swedish Association of Local Authorities and Regions. Our work started in August 2009. We have an office at the Swedish Agency for Youth and Civil Society.

Our target group

Projects and decision-makers at all levels within the policy areas of;
Education, labour market, welfare, social insurance, disability, equality, inclusion, sustainability, economic growth.

The purpose is to achieve a strategic impact that is both more long-term and on a higher level than can be achieved by the individual projects themselves.

The Europe 2020 Strategy is aiming to provide a basis for policies that would help create conditions for a smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The ESF is one of its key tools and therefore we work with these same objectives.
